France or Switzerland, a rare, early, petit sonnerie striking carriage clock with alarm and travel case, signed Breguet, gilt, glazed, one piece case with molded base, Roman numeral silvered dial with blued steel Breguet style hands, subsidiary alarm chapter, and engraved "Breguet, a Paris", 8 day, time and strike movement with both trains driven by a single barrel, striking the last quarter in passing, and with grand sonnerie repeating on blued, wire gongs, the polished steel strikework mounted to the back plate, and also bearing a silvered plate engraved "Breguet", duplex platform escapement, with two piece steel escape wheel and brass balance, and with alarm striking on a bell in the base, contained in its original wooden, gilt stamped leather covered case with gilt hardware
